I tend to get excited more for seasonal drinks than the food (probably due to my obsession with coffee). I love minty flavors, so I enjoy seeing all the peppermint options that are offered during the holiday season!
One thing you’re not going to see on my list? Eggnogg (sorry, I’ve never liked it). I probably should try it again as it’s been a while since I’ve tasted it. I have seen many vegan, dairy-free versions of eggnog that have caught my eye as well-I might need to look into those!
Hot Chocolate (+ Alcohol)
I’m not a HUGE fan of hot chocolate (honestly, I think I dislike hot drinks in general), but I do enjoy drinking it on cold, snowy days. My favorite addition? Some Bailey’s or Kahlua! It certainly makes it taste more chocolatey! Adding a candy cane or using a mint-flavored hot chocolate are also options that I enjoy.
Peppermint Mocha Coffee
While I’m not obsessed with it, I make sure to try a Peppermint Mocha coffee from Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts during December. It really gets me into the holiday spirit!
Peppermint Milkshakes
Many places offer peppermint milkshakes during the winter season. It might be cold, but I still love cold drinks. The peppermint chunks in these milkshakes are hard and crunchy (probably not ideal for your teeth), but they taste great!
Butterbeer
This is more of an all-year kind of drink, but I think it’s especially perfect for the winter (and the fall). I normally drink the Flying Cauldron version that’s sold in four pack of bottles at my local Publix (I’ve seen it sold at Books-A-Million too).
HOWEVER, there are some pretty great alcoholic versions out there. I used to make my own butterbeer with root beer, butterscotch schnapps, and vanilla vodka (be warned though-it definitely fizzed up when I poured everything together).

What are you favorite holiday drinks?
I’m 100% with you on the alcoholic hot chocolate! Although my all-time favorite would have to be mulled cider, I can’t get enough of it!
