Birthday Favorites

I intended to solely have my ‘Birthdays’ post covering my birthday, but since I had a lot of fun this weekend, I wanted to write a post about some of my birthday favorites!

I turned 24, so in regards to that, it wasn’t that much of a milestone for me. I do feel like 2019 is going to bring some positive changes to my life, so maybe being 24 will be a good thing!

Favorite Moments

Quidditch Tournament

While I’ve gone to tournaments on the weekend after my birthday, this year was the first time I had a tournament on my actual birthday. It was a fun experience! I scored a few goals, watched some games, and spent most of the day outside. My team didn’t win it all and came in second, but I still enjoyed it. I also really love traveling. While I didn’t get to explore the area, it was fun driving and actually going somewhere. I get tired of being in the same town all of the time, so the change of scenery was nice.

Birthday Dinner (x2)

#1: After the tournament, I went to Mellow Mushroom with some teammates. They sung happy birthday to me when our server brought over a brownie topped with ice cream, and I had a great time. I feel like I normally shy away from team dinners, but I’m glad I decided to go! I was still more on the quiet side, but I did engage in some of the conversations that were happening all around me. Hopefully this will make me feel more comfortable going to more team dinners in the future!

#2: On Sunday, my parents wanted to take me out to dinner. We decided to go to Olive Garden. I enjoyed celebrating with them, and I got even more free dessert! I got to pick my favorite-the Black Tie Mousse Cake. It was very chocolatey!

Favorite Gifts

Iron Man

I need to rewatch some Marvel movies before End Game comes out. I actually wasn’t obsessed with superheroes prior to college, so I never added the first Iron Man movie to my collection. I also tend to be on Team Cap, so Iron Man was a character that I initially didn’t care that much for. He’s definitely grown on me a lot though, so I’m rewatching his movies.

Colourpop

I have read and watched plenty of raving reviews about Colourpop, so I’m excited to FINALLY try out a few of their products! For my birthday I received one of their lipsticks and one of their eyeshadows. The lipstick was ‘Ariel’ (one of my favorite princesses) from the Disney Designer Collection. The eyeshadow is called “Light Up”.

Thank you for reading! And thank you to everyone who wished me happy birthday! 🙂

  1. Mellow Mushroom is great… I’m actually not sure I’ve ever had any of their desserts though. I’m usually shy around big gatherings like that too. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen the first Iron Man movie… I feel like I do remember liking it quite a lot, though. And I love Colourpop! I haven’t bought anything from them in a while, and I really need to because they seem to have improved their makeup game recently.

    • Yeah, I think this was the first time I’ve tried a dessert at Mellow Mushroom!
It’s been a while since I’ve watched Iron Man too…I can’t wait to rewatch it, especially now since I’m more into superheroes.
And yay, I’m excited to try Colourpop! Everyone I know seems to love it.
      Thanks for reading!!
