Motivational Marvel Monday #1

mmm1

Happy Monday everyone! As you may know, lately I have been marathon-ing the Marvel movies. Superheroes are a great source of inspiration for me-while they may have more formidable and obvious foes than we do in real-life, they still have relatable moments throughout the movies. Especially with the world the way it is right now, I thought I would write a few posts with my favorite motivational quotes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

I know my summer classes start today, and whether you work, go to school, or simply have your own goals to accomplish, let’s start the week off inspired!

Movies to Watch in 2020

2020movies

With one of my most anticipated movies of 2020 coming out today, I decided to make a list of movies I am looking forward to this year. Like last year’s list of movies, this post will feature many superhero movies. What can I say? I’m obsessed.

Anyways, while looking through the movies that are getting released in 2020, I see a common theme…badass females! Many of the superhero movies this year feature a female lead, and being a female who loves the genre, I can’t wait!

My top two Marvel superheroes are Captain America and Spider-Man. I already wrote a post about why Captain America is my favorite, but Spider-Man was basically the hero I grew up watching. I watched the Tobey Maguire movies, then Andrew Garfield’s The Amazing Spider-Man, and then Tom Holland’s version of the character in the MCU. I honestly loved watching every Spider-Man series, although I would have to say that Tom Holland’s has been my favorite.

Anyways, after watching (and loving) Avengers: Endgame and Spider-Man: Far From Home last year, I wanted to celebrate my 25th birthday with some Spider-Man cupcakes!

Whether you’re a superhero fan or not, you’ve probably heard that Avengers: Endgame was released last month (I probably tweeted about it too much myself, so I’m sorry if you think I’m a crazy obsessive fan now; you had to learn that at some point though, right?). I watched the movie opening night and was inspired to gather my thoughts into a blog post. I wanted to include a few of the lessons that I noticed throughout the movie (like my lessons from Captain Marvel post), but since this was such an epic film, I also wanted to include my favorite moments as well.

SPOILER WARNING: This post contains MAJOR spoilers for Avengers: Endgame, so only read this post if you have already watched the movie/don’t care about spoilers.

Avengers Endgame: Ulta Collection

At the beginning of April, I was pleasantly surprised to find a superhero-themed subject line from Ulta in my inbox. I guess Avengers: Endgame is popular enough for even beauty stores to release their own superhero-themed products (I believe Sephora did one as well that’s only available in another country?). Anyways, being the nerd I am, I knew I had to go out and pick up a few items, especially since there was a buy two, get two free sale going on at Ulta.
